Events
Like Water is as much a performance group as a resource for rhythms, a drum store as much as an adventure travel company. If there is one overriding theme of this organization, it is the concept of community. In Africa, drums are at the center of celebrations and special events, and the music is the sound track of each community's life. We see our role in America the same, and are proud to offer an array of workshops, classes, instructional and performance events, as well as a forum for those interested in rhythm and dance to come together. Below is a listing of Like Water events, as well as related drumming and other events throughout South Eastern Michigan.
In addition to the events listed below, check out the Like Water Newsletter, Calling It Out.
